Privacy Policy

Effective date: July 30, 2026

Pictango ("the App") is operated by corita ("we", "us", or "our"), an independent business based in Japan. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App handles and how. By using the App, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

All users. Learning progress, settings, and other data are stored locally on your device. Within the App, we do not collect names, addresses, phone numbers, payment card details, or other personal information.

Anonymous usage analytics. By default, the App sends anonymous, aggregated usage events (such as which screens are opened and whether a learning session was completed) to our analytics provider, PostHog, to help us improve the App. These events use a randomly generated identifier and do not contain personal information. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy → Send usage data.

Website analytics and advertising measurement. Our marketing landing page uses PostHog and the Meta Pixel to measure page views and taps on the App Store button. The Meta Pixel uses cookies and similar technologies, including web beacons. Meta may use the resulting browser or device information and its own identifiers for advertising measurement, ad delivery and personalization, and audience creation under its terms. Website measurement is separate from App learning data. See Meta's Privacy Policy and Meta Business Tools Terms.

Premium subscribers. When you start a premium subscription, the following is processed:

• Purchase information. Subscription status, processed via Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat (our subscription management provider). An anonymous subscriber identifier generated by RevenueCat is used to track your subscription state; no name or email is shared with us.

Payments are handled by Apple.

2. How We Use Information

• Verify and maintain your premium subscription status across your devices.
• Respond to support inquiries you send to us.
• Comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

• Apple Inc. Provides the App Store and In-App Purchase processing. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat, Inc. Manages subscription status. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
• PostHog Inc. Receives anonymous App usage analytics and marketing website analytics events (US region). App events do not include names, email addresses, or advertising identifiers. See PostHog's Privacy Policy. App analytics can be disabled in the App's settings.
• Meta Platforms, Inc. Our marketing landing page (pictango.corita.jp) uses the Meta Pixel to measure page views and taps on the App Store button and to support advertising measurement, delivery, personalization, and audience creation. The App itself contains no Meta SDK and does not send advertising identifiers or app events to Meta. See Meta's Privacy Policy.

4. What We Do Not Do

• Within the App, we do not collect names, email addresses, or similar contact details that identify you personally.
• We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
• The App does not contain a third-party advertising SDK, request permission for cross-app tracking, or share advertising identifiers or app events with advertisers. The Meta Pixel is limited to the marketing landing page and does not receive in-App learning activity. Our marketing website does not currently use a Google Ads tag.
• We do not maintain our own user database for learning data.

5. Data Storage and Retention

Learning progress and settings are stored locally on your device using the operating system's local storage. If you have iCloud Backup enabled, your iOS device may include this data in its backup; that backup is managed by Apple, not by us.

Subscription information is retained by RevenueCat and Apple for the duration of your subscription and as required by applicable law.

6. Your Rights

• Delete local data. Use the "Reset All Progress" option in the App's settings, or uninstall the App.
• Cancel subscription. Manage your subscription via Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your iOS device.
• Request deletion of subscription-linked records. Email support@corita.jp. We will work with our providers to delete records to the extent permitted by law.

7. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently received such information, please contact us so we can address it.

8. International Transfers

Our subscription provider RevenueCat and our analytics provider PostHog are based in the United States. By using the App, you understand that subscription identifiers and anonymous usage analytics may be processed in the United States.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will revise the effective date above and, when changes are material, notify users through the App or via email when reasonably possible.
